The Biggest Overpay in Free Agency

240+ signings. Three that stand out

Tyler Linderbaum got PAID

Tyler Linderbaum to the Raiders — 27.0M/yr

Overpay:+11.3M

Best center in football. Also the highest-paid interior lineman in history. Las Vegas is paying QB money for a position most teams fill on day 2 of the draft.

Alex Pierce — $29M/yr

Overpay:+4.1M

Pierce had a career high 47 catches last year. Indy is paying top-10 receiver money to a deep-ball specialist who is probably gonna end up as a WR2 - on his own team.

Odafe Oweh to Washington — 25.0M/yr

Overpay:+11.1M

Oweh has one double-digit sack season in four years. Washington just paid him like a perennial All-Pro. The edge market is inflated across the board (see Phillips) but this one stands out.

NFL Draft Visit Tracker

535 visits. A pattern is forming

Caleb Banks (DT) is moving up draft boards

Caleb Banks (DT), Jordyn Tyson (WR), Kadyn Proctor (OT), Kaelon Black (RB), Kaleb Elarms-Orr (LB) are all getting Top 30 visits from four or more teams. Chicago, Denver, Green Bay, and Houston are shopping the same aisle with nearly identical lists.

Teams are telling you who they like. You just have to pay attention.

Dallas has 38 tracked visits — heavily loaded with CBs, DEs, and LBs. Tennessee is bringing in 9 offensive linemen. Chicago hosted Jeremiyah Love, Kaelon Black, and Emmett Johnson for Top 30 visits.

The visit tracker is updated in real time. Filter by team, position, or visit type.

Which Teams Draft the Best?

Looking at the last 6 years

Brian Gutekunst - GM of the Packers

Not all draft picks are equal and neither are the teams making them.

We graded every NFL team's draft performance over the last 6 years. Hit rate, bust rate, star rate, and a metric we call DVA (Draft Value Added) that measures how much value a team actually gets relative to where they pick.

The teams at the top — Green Bay, Kansas City, Seattle, Buffalo, the Rams - have turned themselves into annual contenders. It's not just about drafting a franchise quarterback. Seattle and LA both acquired theirs through free agency - then built well-rounded rosters around them through the draft.

The teams at the bottom tell the other side of the story. Tennessee bust rate is 50% and Minnesota’s is 59%. They rank 31st and 32nd respectively. Both have fired two GMs in the last four years and now they’re trying to fix it.
